My Baby Rose, my dawn, my light,
You bloomed into this world so bright.
With cheeks of blush, and eyes like stars,
You were like Heaven in my arms.

I held you close, your breath, a breeze,
That whispered through the tallest trees.
Your fingers curled around my own,
My heart, your cradle, flesh and bone.

They took you far, but not from me,
For love knows no geography.
You’re in each star, each ocean wave,
In every strength I find and save.

You are my light and perfect truth.
God guards your soul, and protects your youth.
The world may stall, but love runs deep,
And God will wake what they thought was sleep.

My Baby Rose, my love and dear,
You’re in my prayer, my breath, my tear.
And though this path is long and wide,
I do it all to reach your side.

So bloom, my Rose, through every storm,
This world will one day be reborn.
And I will stand where angels stay,
To kiss your face, and light the way.
